Target Muscle: Tibialis Anterior (Calves)

Workout Mechanics: Isolated | Workout Force: Pull Exercise | Utility: Basic or Auxiliary

Reverse Calf Raise Instructions

Reverse Calf Raise Technique

Position bar upper chest height and place calf block under bar. Position back of shoulders under bar and grasp bar to sides. Position heels on forward edge of calf block. Disengage bar and stand erect with knees and hips straight.

Reverse Calf Raise Form

Pull the forefoot of both feet up toward body as far as possible. Return by extending feet until toes are pointed downward. Repeat.

Throughout exercise, keep knees and hips straight. The exercise can be made more difficult by positioning heels closer to the edge of the platform.
